Except for shoveling the porch, sidewalks and paths to my feeders, I stayed inside all day. Again it is cold, snowy and the wind is blowing. I had a good time watching the bird activity in the yard today.
My visitors included juncos, goldfinches, doves, nuthatches, titmice, chickadees cardinals, red bellied woodpecker, hairy and downy woodpeckers.

Love the cardinal pics! I would so love to see one, but we don't have them here in this part of the country.
ReplyDeleteTerry, it's so funny -- we live so far apart and yet our birds are nearly the same! Cardinals, the funny little nuthatches, chickadees, gold finches, both the downy and the hairy woodpeckers ... we even get the sweet little juncos (when there's the hint of snow in the air). I love watching the birds ... we had a couple of days several weeks ago where the cedar waxwings came through as they migrated (further) south. They are *so* beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Terry - I have just loaded your beautiful bird blog in for my Grow Your Blog party -- lets get you lots more followers - we all love birds! See you on the 19th at the party!

I bet the birds appreciate the seed you offer, especially when it is snowing. So many lovely birds visiting your backyard and beautifully captured by you! We see the same birds in our area over the winter season. A pleasure to visit your wonderful blog!
ReplyDeleteLove these cardinal photos - I grew up in the US but have lived in England for 20 years and although we have lots of fantastic birds, we don't have cardinals, and I miss them, especially right now, when everything is covered in snow!
