White Winged Crossbills

Again, due to poor conditions, and less food further north, we may see many more of some of our winter birds, and there is a good chance of seeing new ones also.  I for one will be looking for this Crossbill.  We have a lot of forest and woods around where I live so I am making this my new quest!

Good luck with your birding!

  1. Terry, fascinating video! Thank you for sharing. I hope you are able view some of these very cool birds this winter. I have heard they have been seen in our area and I am on the lookout. A joy to visit your wonderful blog!

Also, a very gracious thank you for the kind remarks you left on my Birding Is Fun Blog post.

  2. I love crossbills! I have not had the pleasure to see the white-winged variety, but a couple of years ago, the Red Crossbills were a regular at my feeder over the winter. Haven't seen them around since though.
