THE EAGLE

My husband and I went up to Traverse City Sunday to check out a flooring store, then went over to visit his brother and sister in law.  On the way home we spotted an Eagle just off the side of the road eating his dinner!  We stopped and I got a few photos, not the best though.

It looked like it was eating a large dog, or wolf.

Is It Spring Yet???

I for one am very tired of gloomy cold weather, hurry up spring!

Hope all of you have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yesterday I had a new visitor to my yard, a Ruffed Grouse.  I have seen him twice now.  I didn't know they would dive into snow banks to sleep for the night!

Today I had several of the usual visitors.

New Birds In Florida

I'm having a great time here in Florida with my hubby.  We are visiting two of our children and doing fun things.  Kalyn took us to the State Fair yesterday and we ate the usual junk food (that didn't set real well with me).

I'm really excited about the fact that she has an Osprey that sits in the tree in her yard and has a nest across the street.  I believe the female is sitting on it.  I have seen a few other birds too and tomorrow we are going out on the causeway where I will get more photos.  But here are a few that I've taken.

Hope to get more tomorrow

Meet and Greet-Grow Your Blog

Today is Grow Your Blog Day and I will be visiting a lot of blogs that have signed up for the event.  Thanks to Vicki at 2 Bags Full who organized this.

Take your time and have a look around, if you're into birds then I hope you will follow my blog as I share my birding experience. If you would be so kind as to leave me a comment so that I know you were here.
**********

Very cold here lately, and we are getting a slow steady snow right now.  Doesn't make for good birding weather.

I did take one drive to the water plant when I was in town.  Nothing there but a bunch of ducks! lol!  Well, what can I say except that there was nothing new.

These two books were from my Son-In-Law and grand kids for Christmas.

The Birds of North America has beautiful photos in it, and the Songbirds by Sally Roth is a wealth of  information. Sally knows her birds and I would highly recommend this book. Lots of ideas you can do simply every day.

A few birds from my yard:                              Downy

 Nuthatch

 Starling
And look at this cute fella!   HA HA I couldn't resist.

Happy Birding!
